Celtic supporters know the club missed a huge opportunity in Europe this season.

Going out to Copenhagen was a sore as getting our marching orders from Cluj earlier this season.

Copenhagen were no great shakes but we bottled it in front of our own crowd on a night which will go down as a calamity for the whole club.

What makes it much sorer this evening is the full time result coming in from Copenhagen’s last 16 tie. The Danes were beaten 1-0 by Basaksehir.

The Turkish side proving they were entirely beatable away from home if played the correct way.

Celtic have moved on from this game now but lessons have to be learned because they clearly weren’t learned the first time this term against Cluj.

A lack of proper investment from a position of strength and shooting ourselves in the foot is a common theme throughout the Peter Lawwell era.
