CELTIC are on the brink of relinquishing their nine-year hold on the SPFL trophy.

Anything but a win against Dundee Utd on Sunday would seal the club’s fate this season but in reality, we’ve been awaiting this unwanted moment for some time.

The acute end of losing the title when it becomes official will see Celtic fans sum up their season and it’s not going to be favourable on the decision makers at the club.

The club have been planning behind the scenes to get ready for next season but if they have an iota of information on where this club is heading. Dropping it in the month of March would be the right thing to do.

Back before this incredible run, when we lost the league we usually knew where we were going and who would be taking us there. Right now, we’re in limbo and as our rivals have their fun at our expense, we can’t really sit here and say ‘just you wait until next season’ because we have no idea how Celtic will look come August this year.

If there are positive moves being made then Celtic fans should be kept in the loop. We want to begin looking forward. Dermot Desmond has the power to shift the narrative.
