It has not been a great transition over the piece for Jack Hendry – making the move from Dundee to Celtic. The player struggled in the limited chances he got in the first-team and rarely sees the bench never mind first team action.

The defender has been out with an injury as of late but there’s been a time this season when Nir Bitton was preferred at centre-back rather than Jack, telling you everything you need to know about the player’s standing with the manager.

With the January window coming up, it’s the perfect opportunity for Jack and the club to go their separate ways. The defender desperately needs game time and Celtic will look to trim their squad going forward the rest of the season.

People will bemoan he’s not had enough chances but at Celtic when you do get a small chance you need to grasp it quickly and show you’re up to the challenge. Ryan Christie a perfect recent example of this.

Jack came in with promise after a decent season with Dundee but it’s never amounted to much.
