CELTIC are in Copenhagen ahead of their last 32 encounter with Copenhagen on Thursday evening.

Neil Lennon has a massive decision to make with not just personnel but the way he shapes the team.

Celtic have played more often than not with a 3-5-2 since the start of 2020. It has served the team well but it also means our opponents are likely to get chances. We would have been punished by more ruthless teams in the SPFL with some of the drawbacks and limitations of the 3-5-2 in today’s game.

Copenhagen will have us well scouted but even they will have doubt on how Celtic will step up.

I personally believe Neil Lennon will go 4-3-3 tonight. The formation which brought us to this point in Europe is the best to go up against Copenhagen. The personnel available dictates it, to make a 3-5-2 work you’re making a lot of sacrifices.

It all depends on Neil Lennon’s thinking when it comes to full backs. Greg Taylor hasn’t travelled but Boli Bolingoli is there and so is Hayes. On the right side, you have Bauer but Jeremie Frimpong is also available which could be the game changer.

Playing a back four means Frimpong could come back into the side without having to take James Forrest out the equation or move him elsewhere. It would be the player’s first appearance since January 23.

Moi on the left hand side of a front three in Europe also makes much more sense than Jonny Hayes at wing back with three defenders in the centre.

We wait and see, but if Lennon throws Frimpong curveball, 4-3-3 is on the way.
