NEIL LENNON has been waiting a long time to have Leigh Griffiths fit and available but his comeback is finally on the horizon.

The question is – will the Celtic manager now respond to the players double in a reserve game on Tuesday night and bring him back into the fold against Livingston. That’s the choice facing the Parkhead boss this weekend.

Celtic have been working with one striker for nearly a month. Bayo has gone down with an injury and Leigh has been out since August. This has left Edouard to be the only fit striker, something he had to contend with a lot last year also.

Having Leigh back, on the bench to begin with will give the whole squad a boost and hopefully within the next few weeks he can hit the goal trail for the club again.

It’s been a year since Leigh took time out of the game to deal with personal issues. Returning in the summer, the player did score a few but he wasn’t at his best, it was obvious. Neil Lennon has been banging on about fitness levels and it would appear as if Leigh Griffiths has responded. His fitness looks good, he got two goals in a bounce game and he’s ready to go.
