Although the season is far from over, it won’t be too long before the votes are out to decide Celtic’s Player of the Year.
Last year, the award was won by captain Callum McGregor whose consistent performances and drive led the Hoops to a League and League Cup double.
The skipper is always likely in contention for the award but he will have some pretty tough competitors this year.
It’s very difficult to narrow the shortlist down to three but these are the players who could pick up the award.
Kyogo Furuhashi has already hit 26 goals for Celtic this season and although he will be a stick on to claim the Top Goalscorer of the Year award, he will also fancy his chances of being named Player of the Year.

He is well on track to hit 30 goals this season which would make it 50 goals in his first two seasons at the club. His brace against Rangers in the final of the Viaplay Cup also strongly puts him in the mix.
Cameron Carter-Vickers picked up a man of the match award at the weekend after a dominating performance against Hearts which was topped off by a goal.

Ange Postecoglou described the United States international as the best defender in the league after match which is pretty difficult to argue against. He is yet to lose a domestic match which he has featured in this season and continues to put in rock solid displays.
Finally, midfielder Reo Hatate also has to be worth a mention. He has almost been involved in a goal every second game he has played for the Hoops this season having scored eight goals and contributed nine assists in 37 appearances [Transfermarkt].

The likes of Greg Taylor and Aaron Mooy will also be in with a shout when deciding who the pick of the bunch has been but there is no real standout as Celtic have so many talented players.
