Celtic return to action in the Scottish Cup on Saturday night after three weeks off. The players have been put through their paces at home and abroad since but there’s no real substitute for game time. Getting back onto the field and playing again will be what this team will want to do.

One question surrounding the game is will we see anything of our new signing Patryk Klimala when the bhoys take on Partick Thistle?

Looking at all the factors, it’s probably not the best idea to throw the 21-year-old into proceedings days after his switch to the club.

Poland are also on a winter shut down and the player’s last game was on December 22. The last goal Patyrk scored was in November also. It’s pivotal Neil Lennon deploys the youngster at the best time. If he plays two games without scoring you will have a large portion of an impatient audience calling him a dud.

Getting Patryk up to speed and on the same wavelength as his teammates before giving him the nod would likely be the best route to take.
