Latest January recruit, Matt O’Riley, appears to already be settling nicely into life as a Celtic player, just days after joining the club, putting in a man of the match performance at Tynecastle last night.

The 21-year old midfielder made his first start since joining from English League One side MK Dons last week and impressed the Celtic support with his performance, playing a part in what turned out to be the winning goal in the capital.

This evening, O’Riley has sent a message to the Celtic support on social media, praising the travelling Hoops fans after a successful debut, which delivered all three points in front of the away support behind the goal at Tynecastle.

Fans have been raving about the performance of the former Fulham, and MK Dons man, and rightly so due to his display in the middle of the park alongside Reo Hatate and Nir Bitton on Wednesday night.

Having just joined up with his teammates for the first time at the beginning of the week, there is probably, even more to come from the Englishman, which is another exciting prospect for Celtic supporters to look forward to.

It is clear to see that O’Riley enjoyed his first experience of the travelling Celtic support and now has a potential debut at Paradise to look forward to on Saturday.
