Morgan was sent out to Sunderland in January after failing to make the breakthrough into the Celtic first team during the first half of the season.
Signed from St Mirren, the midfielder was the Scottish Championship’s player of the year before making the permanent Celtic switch.
It was his former St Mirren boss Jack Ross who brought him to the stadium of light during the winter window and for the most part the player has done well for the English outfit.
Morgan is due back at Celtic in the summer for pre-season where he, along with the rest of the Bhoys will have a new full time manager to work under.
Sunderland may even want to try and keep Lewis in a permanent basis.
