MARVIN COMPPER has told RecordSport he’s ready to quit the club in January after being overlooked by Brendan Rodgers since coming in.

The Irishman has claimed Marvin is still not there physically but the defender refutes those comments and now looks like he’s finally heading for the Parkhead exit.

Speaking about his ill-fated Celtic move and what happens next, the German is unsure of where he’ll land but he seems unwilling to sit and just collect a wage anymore.

“Unfortunately, I do not play much of a role with our manager and that’s why I want to take a look around during the winter break.

Whether it will be in the Bundesliga, I do not know. I’m pretty open.

Compper was brought in 11 months ago to help a struggling Celtic back line but his Celtic career has never really got going with injuries.

The player was told he could move on in the summer but decided to stay at Parkhead.

It has been a strange transfer all round and Brendan Rodgers took the heat for signing Marvin when it was brought up at the AGM.
