The Celtic fans have been raving about the defender, wishing the club could do a deal for the Croatian.
Since coming to Celtic, Filip has created a formidable partnership with Dedryck Boyata and there understanding has been growing on a game by game basis.
It could be Celtic’s best centre back pairing in quite a while.
Benkovic did continue his dominance in the second half and made a vital interception to stop Rosenborg from scoring on the night.
This was Celtic’s first ever away win in the Europa League group – another piece of history for the bhoys and a monkey off their back.
