Callum McGregor has been Celtic’s marathon man for years. He continually racks up the most games and minutes in the Hoops and when it rolls to the summer, he’s in a Scotland jersey in the thick of things.

The midfielder had a poor season by his own standards at Celtic and caught so much flak from the fans as a result.

At Wembley, against England, the midfielder was back with a bang. He role as defensive midfielder on the night was played to perfection.

Callum put in an incredible performance along with his Scotland teammates and the lads were lucky not to take all three points.

After such a poor season, many people are giving him his due this evening after the performance he put in.

Scotland are still in with a chance of getting out of the group stage and have a massive match against Croatia on Tuesday.

The Celtic contingent in the Scotland camp will be hoping to be kept away from Lennoxtown a little longer.

  1. He performed ok, unlike his efforts for Celtic last season but I cant accept he was better than Gilmour or McGinn-best way to shut people up is to start performing in a Celtic jersey-time he started running the show for Celtic in midfield-he’s an experienced player now not a promising youngster

  2. Complete nonsense, he didn’t make forward runs or passes hardly made a tackle, stands in no man’s land marking nobody most of the time. Nowhere near the player he was a few years ago.
