IAN CROCKER has been commentating on Scottish football for twenty years plus so if you’re a fan of the Scottish game you will have heard him call the action many times during your lifetime.
The SkySports man calls all the Glasgow Derbies and is still remembered for the commentary on THAT Henrik Larsson goal during the 6-2 demolition of the Old Rangers at Celtic Park.
The commentator has been and seen it all when it comes to football but he does take some amount of heat from fans for his energetic style and the excitement in his voice when it comes to the goals flying in.
The English commentator admitted he receives a fair bit of stick but also there’s a lot of Ibrox fans out there who say he gets ‘more excited’ by Celtic goals.
“Rangers fans reckon I get more excited by Celtic goals” Crocker told SunSport. That’s nonsense. They only have to check out my reaction to Lovenkrands’ winner in the Scottish Cup final in 2002.”
To be honest there have been many more Celtic goals than Gers goals over the past three years so maybe it’s because they hear Ian commentating on them much more often.
Well said Crocker.
That goal was way back in Ancient times,2002 utter nonsense football, the game has change for the better far more excitement and more fun if your a Celtic fan…
