Celtic ran out 3-0 winners against Hamilton on Saturday afternoon but put it down to a ‘present’ from the referee which sent Celtic on their way.

Odsonne Edouard put away a penalty after he was brought down in the box illegally. But apparently Brian Rice called it a ‘present’, insinuating it was not warranted.

‘It’s the season of presents and Celtic got a present at the start of the second half’ Rice told SkySports Live.

Replays show the French striker was impeded.

Celtic had a great second half where they broke down a Hamilton team who had no intention of attacking and sat on the edge of their own box for large periods of the game.

Hamilton didn’t have a touch inside the Celtic box the whole game.

Goals from Eddy, Griff and Turnbull made it a Boxing Day win from the bhoys and another clean sheet.

There’s a consistency coming back to this Celtic team.

The club are keeping touch with the top of the table as they look to cut into their lead during the next few games.

Dundee Utd is up next for Neil Lennon’s men at Celtic Park.
