PATRICK ROBERTS spoke to the media today at Lennoxtown. With the International break getting underway the Englishman has time to reflect on the season so far and brief the Celtic support on how well his recovery is going.

Speaking about his injury, the player is optimistic about a quick return and is targeting next week for getting back into training.

“I’m back outside running and jogging so I’ll hopefully be back soon. With the international break I can rest and recover. I’ll be looking to get back to training with the squad when they’re all back.”

The player had to watch from the sidelines as Celtic came close to upsetting Bayern Munich and then making it a record 63 games unbeaten domestically but he’s proud of what the whole squad has accomplished.

“It was a shame to miss the last 2 games. Everyone in the squad is happy to have contributed towards the unbeaten record.”

“Our mentality and willingness to win every game has got us this far. The manager installed that in us from the get go.”

With a hectic fixture schedule on the horizon, Paddy will be welcomed back to the squad with open arms when he’s ready to go.
