PATRICK ROBERTS has thanked the Celtic fans for their support while he recovers from a long-term hamstring injury.

The Englishman has had a torrid time this season with injury and many felt the latest injury would see him leave Celtic without making another appearance.

However, thanks to Patrick’s determination and the top class rehab he has been receiving there is more than a good chance he’ll be playing in the latter part of this season.

Speaking about how the fans have been since his injury, he could not praise them enough.

“The fans have been great. They’ve been top-class as usual and have supported me right from when I got my injury.

“It’s been frustrating for me obviously, but also for them because they want to see me play as much as I want to play. But they’ve been great.”

Roberts is currently in Dubai with the rest of the Celtic squad and admitted yesterday that it was great to be outside training again.
