PATRICK ROBERTS has not been a Celtic player since late may but the club is still very much in his heart and mind.

The player is now plying his trade in Spain with high flying Girona and after a difficult spell where he couldn’t get in the team, the Englishman is now impressing for his new club.

Celtic have not felt the negative effects of Roberts leaving so much with James Forrest turning his game up to another level.

It’s still safe to say there is a lot of the Celtic support who have a soft spot for Paddy and would always welcome him back.

For Robert’s, Celtic was such a big part of his life for two and a half years it’s not something you can just forget about. The tricky winger has made friends for life at the club and pinpointed the two he is still very close to even though he has left.

“I might be in Spain now, but I watch as many of Celtic’s games as I can. It’s a club that will always be special for me.” Robert’s told Record Sport.

“I’ve got Celtic TV out here and I keep in touch with boys like Kieran Tierney and Nir Bitton.
