We have been bringing you the very latest on the best and worst transfer rumours this January so far. One rumour that has had some legs over the past few days is the club’s apparent interest in Tino Kadewere.

The Zimbabwe born footballer currently plays in Ligue 2 and has banged in 17 goals in 19 appearances for Le Havre. When a striker is scoring for fun, there’s always going to be interest in him – but is the fact Kadewere is on a hot scoring streak and Celtic are looking for a striker the only thing marrying this rumour together, we’re not sure.

When we realised who the boss of Le Havre was at present we got a proper blast from the past when it turned out to be Paul Le Guen.

Asked if his striker Tino Kadewere could make the step up to play at Celtic, the Frenchman replied

“I think that Tino could play anywhere.” Le Guen told SunSport.

However, the former hapless Ibrox boss doesn’t want to see his star striker leave anytime doon.

“Right now I want him to stay, it’s a real pleasure to work with him.” he added.

Celtic are still making their way through targets and negotiations with the supporters getting a little impatient. A striker looks certain to land this January, whomever it might be.
