Ange Postecoglou dropped a surprise package into his starting eleven today in the shape of Mikey Johnston. The fan debate was all around if Abada or Gia should start and how effective Kyogo is out on the wing rather than the main striker role.

Ange has backed the academy players since he arrived at Celtic Park in the summer and he’s certainly got the best of them. Anthony Ralston looks he will run through a wall for his manager, he’s also chipping in with goals and assists while putting serious mileage on the clock to get back and defend.

If Mikey Johnston is starting tonight you can bet your bottom dollar it’s because Ange is seeing something in him in training.

It only took ten minutes for Ralston to get onto the score sheet. A David Turnbull free-kick landed perfectly in the Hibs box for the in-form right back to head Celtic into the lead.

Just as we are sticking this article together CCV has popped up with his own header to give Celtic a 2-0 lead and Scott Brown has only gone and scored at Ibrox to give Aberdeen a 0-2 lead.

This could be a good night but plenty of football is still to be played.

  1. Should have been 4-0 before they scored Kyogo is greedy and should have given Jota a tap in, that’s 3 times now this season he has only the keeper to beat and takes him on rather than a simple pass to one of his team.
