POLICE are offering an up to £20k reward for information leading to arrests in the Peter Lawwell firebomb case.

In the early hours of May 19, the former Celtic CEO and his family had to flee their home after their cars were set alight and quickly spread to the house. Thankfully nobody was injured in the attack but the perpetrator is still at large.

Speaking to the BBC, Police are looking for people in the community to come forward:

“The potential risk to life from this kind of attack means we urgently need anyone with information about those responsible to come forward before someone is seriously hurt.

“We know it can be difficult to speak up about crime, especially if it’s about someone close to home or because you may be fearful of the consequences.

“However, that’s why Crime-stoppers is here for you – to take your information whilst you stay completely anonymous.”

Speaking to the Times last month Tory MSP Russell Findlay claimed the attack at all the hallmarks of an organised crime attack.

The politician calling for a crackdown on gangland football agents.

Peter retired from his role at Celtic at the end of June. The Celtic shareholder is still part of the club when it comes to his ECA status. Lawwell must retain some affiliation with Celtic on order to be on the board at the European council.

Hopefully, the culprits are found in the coming days and weeks.
