On Thursday evening, we reported on the rumours Celtic have made a bid for Patrick Roberts.

The club was said to have put a £3m bid in for the player but HITC is now reporting that bid has been rejected.

Paddy is still on loan at Middlesbrough and likely will be until the EFL figure out the best way to end their season. However, if Celtic’s bid has gone in, reports claim Celtic have left it on the table for consideration.

Patrick was a success during his two and a half year loan spell at the club.

He recently re-signed with City before heading out on loan. He’s never been further away from the Man City first team and the contract is likely so City can get a fee for the player.

Is Peter looking to take advantage of Celtic’s relationship with City and his son working at the Etihad as cited by Taxhaven during the Arzani transfer?

  1. What a welcome Paddy would get if only we could sign him for another few years. I think three million is slightly cheaper than it should be , but if you do not test the water , you get your toes burnt!. Here’s hoping!..Hail Hail.
