Peter Lawwell spoke this morning about the manager situation at Celtic Park and admitted they are not as further forward as some might think. Lawwell said:
“We are looking at about 5-10 candidates”
“We’re going through a process. Hopefully it won’t take too long.”
“Clearly we want to do it as soon as we possibly can but these things you can’t put a time on. Roy is one of them and we’ll see what happens in the next week or two.”
As of last night Roy Keane was odds on favourite to be the next Celtic boss, but there may be a few twists and turns along the way yet.
Roy and majority shareholder Dermot Desmond have a good relationship and that might be vital in who’s next in the hot seat.
With just over a week since Neil Lennon left the post, there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight just yet.
