CELTIC outcast, Scott Allan was spotted at the Edinburgh Derby on Saturday evening at Easter Road – fueling speculation he could be set for a third return to the club.

Allan is out of contract with Celtic at the end of the season but with Brendan Rodgers likely to trim his squad in January, the player could be moved on sooner than the summer.

Allan was told in the summer he was free to find a new club if he could find one but Rodgers also made comment about certain players being ‘entitled’ to sit at Celtic on big wages if that was their prerogative.

Allan spoke back in May about wanting to stay at Hibs past his loan deal expiration date but the move never materialised.

At one point it was thought the midfielder would be used as a sweetener for the John McGinn to Celtic deal which went disastrously wrong.

There’s absolutely no chance of Allan making any sort of impact at Celtic and will move on whether it’s in January or the summer.
