There was plenty to cheer about today at Celtic Park but the biggest cheer went to the introduction of Leigh Griffiths as a substitute into the action in the second half. The striker has had to endure a lot of missed games for the new season with ongoing injuries. The forward started the season so well and looked like a man on a mission in pre-season only for constant injury setbacks.
Griffiths could have had a goal today too after the on-fire Frimpong whisked in a perfect ball into the six-yard box that out of practice Leigh couldn’t control. It was the kind of pass that has helped Griff pass the one hundred goal mark for the Hoops.
No matter, fans will just be happy to see two strikers available again for Neil Lennon but nobody will be happier than that one young Celtic fan.
