Over the past number of years, several different groups of players have contributed towards Celtic’s success.

The legacy of Martin O’Neill’s team of the early 2000s lives on to this day as does the legend of Brendan Rodgers’ invincibles.

Ange Postecoglou’s swashbuckling team were unique, and the bond that was formed between the club, players, and supporters during the Aussie’s time in Glasgow was next to none.

Quite a few talents from that team remain, as have the friendships made in it; Giorgos Giakmouamkis and Liel Abada were pictured together over the weekend.

In Celtic teams gone by, several bonds such as this have endured, and that was evident as five former Hoops stars met up on Sunday.

On X, Simon Donnelly posted a snap of himself alongside Tom Boyd, John Hartson, Alan Thompson, and Jackie McNamara:

Albeit these men played across varying eras, their common love for Celtic unites them.

Each played their part in the making of history over the years whether it be McNamara, Donnelly, and Boyd helping to stop the ten or Thompson and Hartson leading the Bhoys to Seville.
