Greg Taylor was an unused sub as Scotland were thumped 5-1 by Germany in the opener of Euro 2024 last Friday.

It was a sobering night for the national team but a few days on, the mood in the camp seems to be a tad more optimistic.

Callum McGregor made a rallying cry ahead of the Switzerland and Hungary games which he billed as ‘cup finals’, while Greg Taylor has been recharging with a certain former Celt.

Indeed, yesterday, a picture surfaced on the 26-year-old’s Instagram of him and Stuart Armstrong on a snowy mountain enjoying some downtime:

A free agent this summer, many Celtic supporters have called for Armstrong to return to the club.

A move for an experienced, quality player Brendan Rodgers trusts would make sense, especially for nothing, but no concrete links have emerged.

Instead, the Hoops have been named as potential suitors for the likes of Luke McCowan and Alvyn Sanches should Matt O’Riley depart for big money this summer.
