Patryk Klimala has arrived in Glasgow to undergo a medical and sign for Celtic early on Monday.

The player has been linked with the club over the past week, with reports in Poland over the weekend making it clear Celtic had come back in for the player after the initial interest earlier this window.

This has resulted in a fee being agreed between Celtic and his current side Jagiellonia Białystok as cited by RecordSport.

The 21-year-old striker has already agreed personal terms and the medical is all that stands in the way of the move at this point.

Patryk, assuming he clears the medical will become Celtic’s first signing of the transfer window and bring an end to Neil Lennon’s pursuit of a striker.

The Irishman has made it clear he needed more back up when it comes to the front line. At 21, Patryk can’t be hailed as the finished article but you expect Nicky Hammond and the Celtic scouts have done their homework.
