SHANE DUFFY has this evening arrived in Glasgow to link up with Celtic almost a week after he was confirmed as a Celtic player.

The Irishman was on international duty until now but after the Republic’s defeat to Finland on Sunday, the player and his international teammates have been released back to their clubs.

Duffy will now be getting settled in Glasgow ahead of starting his Celtic career properly. All the players are due back Wednesday/Thursday this week.

Duffy comes in with a good pedigree and as life long supporter of the club. The Ireland games showed Duffy is a little rusty since football’s return but he’ll be back to his sharpest in no time.

The defender could make his debut against Ross County on Saturday and there’s also chance of a debut in just over a week at St Mirren Park if Neil Lennon doesn’t want to throw the big man into things.
