About Greg Taylor

Greg Taylor joined Celtic from Kilmarnock on transfer deadline day in September 2019, a Greenock-born left-back who had come through the Rugby Park academy and made more than 130 appearances there before he was 22.

Signed as cover for Kieran Tierney’s departure, he outlasted several higher-profile rivals for the position and became one of the most reliable performers of the Postecoglou and Rodgers years – rarely spectacular, rarely beaten. Over six seasons he made 216 appearances, scored nine goals and collected 11 winners’ medals: five league titles, three Scottish Cups and three League Cups.

He left at the end of his contract in the summer of 2025 and signed for PAOK in Greece on a free transfer.

International career

Taylor won 14 caps for Scotland between 2019 and 2024, having come through the under-21s, and was part of Steve Clarke’s squad at Euro 2024.
