We conducted a poll on our social media after the news yesterday that there was a chance Neil Lennon stays in place until the end of the season with big changes coming in the summer.

The move would effectively demote Neil Lennon to a caretaker, losing any authority he has left in the dressing room. To be honest, that kind of deal would be insulting to both the manager and the support at this stage.

What’s more insulting, the club had no plan B for any sort of scenario which involved us losing so many games. They had not identified managers who could take over in if results got worse and they have been reactive throughout rather than proactive.

We put the question to the Celtic support and it was a resounding rejection of any plan to keep Neil Lennon in as a lame duck manager.

The poll was voted on by nearly 2k Celtic fans, and you can see the overwhelming majority aren’t ok with the scenario playing out.

What we’re going to end up getting here, is John Kennedy. Something which will not be palatable to the Celtic support, but if it’s a means to an end, then perhaps it will soften the blow.

  1. I run a CSC bus which leaves from Edinburgh. We attend every game home and away. We have 47 season tkts. None will be renewed until Mr Lennon and Lawell are removed.
