CHRIS SUTTON believes as long as Odsonne Edouard is keeping up with his fitness while isolating he should start the Glasgow Derby.

The player will be allowed to travel back to Glasgow the day before the game and there’s question marks over how Neil Lennon will utilise him. The striker said he’s fine and is showing no symptoms so training indoors shouldn’t be a problem.

Of course, under normal circumstances Eddy would start without a moment’s hesitation but Neil Lennon will have to think long and hard about what’s best for the Squad.

Chris also sent out a warning with seven days to go until the game that nobody is safe from a potential positive case and there could be more player call offs before the game.

Writing in his Daily Record column, Sutton said: “The Edouard one is interesting. Much has been made of the fact he won’t be able to really train with his team-mates prior to the match, yet quite a few players won’t get back to their clubs together until the Friday.

“Provided Edouard has some sort of way of keeping up some fitness while in his isolation, such as a treadmill in the house, he should be all right.

“One thing I would add in all of this is there are still seven days to go until the derby and you could not rule it out that some more players who are due to play in the game at Parkhead next Saturday from either side might still miss out.”

Celtic could go top of the league with a win at Parkhead next weekend. This will be the strangest build up to a derby game ever.

  1. One thing we got to do, is get in their faces, NO standing off them, giving them time to choose a pass or settle. Get the wee man Frimpong and the other back pressing them back. Give them no time to get into any rhythm.
Let’s face it, Goldson is poor, and tav is only good going forward. That’s why we need to keep them on their heels.
They’ll play the rabid dog approach, run up to whoever has the ball and try to scare the player by screaming at them with their arms outstretched and their hands flapping.
Lastly, beware Beaton, the hun lover. Anything for a pint Boaby! He’ll be dying to give them a penalty and all the advantages he can, Honest mistakes.
