ANGE POSTECOGLOU finally landed in Glasgow today and made his way to Lennoxtown to meet the coaching staff.
While we’ve had no confirmation of what’s happening with John Kennedy and Gavin Strachan, it appears the pair WILL be staying on with the club.
The Celtic social media team putting out a video earlier today where he meets the pair inside Lennoxtown.
CeltsAreHere understand the manager has liaised with the John and Gavin about how he wants the setup to be at Lennoxtown and they have got to work in the past two weeks to prepare for the manager coming into the club.
John and Gavin looked likely to leave the club this summer had Eddie Howe come in as the boss. The club told CeltsAreHere they offered Howe a blank slate when it came to coaching staff and as we all know, Eddie was big on having his own guys in.
When that fell apart, John and Gavin’s futures changed. They now look set to help facilitate Ange in his new setup. We don’t know yet if the manager will bring in anyone he knows to be part of the set up.
I hope to God he does bring in new guys and ships these failures out ASAP.
Failures? Maybe strachen but people seem to forget Kennedy was part of the quad treble and 9iar he could provide ange with Scottish knowledge.. I’m not exactly a fan of Kennedy but he could very well be useful
He wasn’t on defensive duties when Rodgers was in charge. He was on bibs and cones duty.
If you remember the side could actually defend a dead ball and corner kicks back then, Kennedy is a moron who should be turfed out on his ear. He’s been hanging around the place like a fart in a phone box. He was around when Ronnie was in charge, that team couldn’t defend a corner either, same for Lennon’s team.
Guy is a fraud and should be sacked, if he doesn’t get sacked he should be hounded out of the place. The club owe him absolutely nothing, he was injured playing for Scotland, he should get the SFA to get him a job.

John K should have played more youngest and changed the team selection when NL left. He could have breadth a freshness in the team by playing Griff.
I will always remember when Rogers done a moonlight with his backroom staff. JK and Duff refused to go with him and he deserves our support for not leaving. JK is in a good position to inform Ange about our young stars strengths and in my opinion, the team don’t need anymore changes in the backroom at this time. However, I hope Ange will bring in some of his own backroom team. Let’s not forget Rogers took seven staff and the Directors did not replace them. NL was not even allowed to bring in his own staff.
Personally I can not forgive John Kennedy for not playing Griff. I know Griff maybe did not play fair, but he did knuckle down and was on the bench most games, therefore he was fit!. As for J.K’s statement after Griff scored against Aberdeen, that , that left the Scottish manager with a headache, then he left Griff on the bench again!. And to add insult to injury, he left Griff on the bench again, and let sevco beat 4. – 1. John Kennedy and Gordon Strachan didn’t lose us the league last year – the players managed that all by themselves. I’m a big fan of griffiths but a blind man could see that he wasn’t right last year. We all also seem to forget the injuries we had at the start, in particular, and also the way we were treated by the authorities re COVID which meant we were always chasing THAT team who, let’s say, we’re treated “differently” and no, I’m not paranoid. (Ps – I also have been watching Celtic for nearly 70 years).
