REPORTS late on Friday night suggest that Celtic right back Josip Juranovic was closing in on a move to Bundesliga side Union Berlin.

After he was missing from the Celtic squad as they faced Morton in the Scottish Cup. As Celtic progressed to the next round, winning 5-0, Josip Juranovic was busy completing his move to Germany.

Ange Postecoglou confirmed that the Croatian international had received the clubs permission to travel to Germany to complete negotiations and complete a medical. Postecoglou remarked to BBC Sportscene “If all things work out, he’ll move on”.

Celtic already have their replacement in the door, with Alistair Johnston getting into Glasgow after he finished his World Cup campaign with Canada. He was thrown in at the deep end at Ibrox, but has impressed and looks like a good replacement for Juranovic.

Juranovic will likely move on this week, with Celtic receiving a fee worth up to £10 million, making a decent profit on last season’s summer signing.
