ANGE POSTECOGLOU has confirmed that Kyogo has gotten through training on Morning and is available for Celtic’s Champions League opener against Real Madrid on Tuesday.

The manager has yet to decide if he’ll start tomorrow after Giakouamkis played ninety minutes on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the manager confirmed that Starfelt would miss the match and the next ‘couple of weeks’, which would likely see him return after the international break.

As quoted by the BBC, Ange Postecoglou said;

“He trained this morning and looked OK. He’s available. I make the decision whether he’ll play or not, but in terms of him training and doing everything in training, he was fine.

“On the weekend, Carl Starfelt hurt his knee. We don’t have an exact diagnosis, but it’s nothing too serious but will probably keep him out for a couple of weeks.”

When Kyogo held his shoulder going off on Saturday, many fans worried about his availability for the Champions League tie against Real Madrid. Then, at the end of the game, he was spotted in a sling, with many Celtic fans concluding he’d have to sit Tuesday out. But, for him to be okay and available for Tuesday is a big boost for Celtic, with the striker more than capable of being a thorn in the side of Los Blancos’ defence.

Carl Starfelt’s injury does not sound great. He’s not had the best few months with injuries, but with Jenz available as backup, it’s not the worst situation for Postecoglou to be in.
