Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has been delighted with the number of scorers that his Celtic side has had, which have proved pivotal in the Hoops brilliant run of form across the last few months.

Since the former Socceroos manager’s arrival in Glasgow, this Celtic side has been famed for their relentless attacking football, which has led to the club finding themselves back at the top of the Scottish Premiership table.

Like in many sides across the country, there is one clear talisman or goalscorer who is present for most of the team’s goals.

However, that can’t be said for Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic side, who have very much shared goals around the squad, with players going on runs of form after many injury issues throughout the season.

“The pleasing thing for me is we have had a good share of goalscorers,” he said, as quoted by Sun Sport.

“Players have made an impact at different times. Earlier in the year, it was Kyogo and Turnbull. Liel Abada has scored a lot, as has Jota. Giakoumakis is doing it at present, and Tommy Rogic has also chipped in.

“That’s been really important for us, and it’s a big reason for our consistency, as we haven’t just relied on one or two players.

Giakoumakis and Daizen [Maeda] have been getting in among it recently, and that’s been great for them.”

As Ange mentions, the classic example of this is the current form of striker Giorgos Giakoumakis, who struggled with fitness and form during the first half of the season, when Kyogo was on fire in the Celtic frontline.

But, the roles are now reversed, with Giakoumakis scoring two hat tricks within the last few weeks and Kyogo still on the sideline through injury.

Not only have the strikers been a good example of this, but players such as Abada, Jota and even the likes of Anthony Ralston have chipped in to score some massive goals during the Celts run of form.

It just goes to show the attacking intent, which Postecoglou always looks to add to his side right from the off in order to gain success.
