ANGE POSTECOGLOU has expressed his annoyance that his side couldn’t be more clinical in front of the goal.

The team couldn’t capitalise on their chances, with chances flying past the post and over the bar.

The Celtic manager credited the opposition but believed that his side should’ve taken their chances. He told BBC Sport;

“It was pretty intense as you’d expect with so much on the line,” said Postecoglou.

“We got our noses in front then had our best opportunities to kill the game off. We didn’t take them and Rangers to their credit hung in there, they’re a good side.

“We had to hold on at the end to get at least the draw we needed. We had to show resilience and Joe Hart made some great saves.”

Celtic had chances when they were a goal to the good to double their lead, and again at 1-1 to retake the lead.

Excellent goalkeeping from Joe Hart kept the scoreline down, but some great defensive play from all over the park helped ease the pressure on the team.

Postecoglou’s greatest frustration will be that his side never finished the game by halftime, and when they came out for the second half, they failed to match the performance levels they had in the first.

Celtic still lead by six points in the SPFL; with just three games to play, Celtic are almost champions again.
