CELTIC has drawn Motherwell in the next round of the Scottish Cup. Fir Park will host the sides in another midweek away tie on the 18-20th of October.
As always, the manager was delighted to be in the draw for the next round of the competition. It was a relatively easy game against Ross County to get into the next round, though.
The Hoops eased to a 4-1 win in the highlands, and after Celtic had gone two up, a win for the Bhoys was never in doubt.
The highland side didn’t really threaten the Celtic goal, with Siegrist only facing two shots on target from the side; one was the goal, and the other forced the Swiss keeper into a good diving save.
Reacting to the draw live on Premier Sports, the Celtic manager stated;
“Good to be in it. It’s another away tie for us and a good challenge at Motherwell. I’m really pleased with the boys’ efforts tonight, and yeah, we’re in the draw, which is good.”
The game is some time away, with a good few games to take place, both domestically and in Europe, before the attention is turned to the encounter.
