REPORTS have suggested that the club is sitting at the negotiating table with Ange Postecoglou and his representatives to discuss a new long-term contract with the boss.
The manager has been nothing short of sensational this season, delivering the double, which included the league title.
CeltsAreHere spoke to Postecoglou on Friday when he was asked about a potential new contract. The manager didn’t give much away, stating he was happy at Celtic and thanked the club for everything they’ve done for him so far;
“I’m happy at Celtic. You’ll never have to worry about that stuff with me.
“I’ve said all along, my own fulfilment doesn’t come from those kind of rewards. It comes from being part of something special, and that’s what I have here.
“I can assure you the club has looked after me and my family in every possible way, I couldn’t feel more supported in every possible way
” If I keep doing a good job, I’m sure I’ll be looked after in the future too.
“That’s not just about contracts; it’s about other things as well.”
Currently, Ange is on a one-year rolling contract. However, the club are looking to change this and tie their man down to a long term deal, with his stock rising. There is no rush, with Ange stating he is more than happy with Celtic.
Ange is looking forward to next season as he looks to strengthen the backroom staff and players as the Champions League group stages are set to welcome Celtic back.
