ANGE POSTECOGLOU has revealed that Celtic are hoping to organise a bounce game during the international break to help stars returning from injury.

David Turnbull completed his return from injury against Ross County on Saturday afternoon, coming on in the second half. The midfielder received a warm reception, fans are glad to have the player available again.

After four months out, Ange will look to get more minutes into his legs to prepare for the Derby and St Johnstone before heading into the split after the break.

Speaking at a press conference CeltsAreHere attended, Postecoglou said;

“David Turnbull has worked hard at training over the last seven to ten days. It was good to get him out there, I’m sure he was pleased to get a run, it’s now just about building him up.

“The next two weeks, obviously we lose a few to national teams. I don’t think that’s a bad thing, they get away from the routine club environment and refresh themselves. Others, we’ll give a little bit of a break to.

“Guys like Turnbull, and a few others, we can put some really good work into them. Hopefully, we can arrange a bounce game during this break. We know when everyone comes back that’ll be it until the end of the year. It’ll be great to have a fit and healthy squad for that.”

Interestingly, Postecogou said that he expected Kyogo to return to training during the international break a few weeks back. Maybe the manager has plans to introduce the striker in a bounce match before unleashing him at Ibrox.

Mikey Johnston could also benefit from a match in his legs after spending a few weeks out with an injury.
