ANGE POSTECOGLOU watched from the sidelines as Hearts were reduced to nine men after two players received second yellow cards from referee Kevin Clancy.

It was needless to commit the fouls that saw Hearts have to see out the game with nine men on the park, but Clancy made the correct decision and gave both Cochrane and Sibbick their marching orders in the final stages of the match.

It was a lack of discipline from both players, who will now be suspended for Hearts’ match against St Johnstone.

After the match, the Celtic manager praised his squad’s discipline, telling Celtic TV;

“We kept our discipline which was good, and we didn’t get frustrated, and we made sure that while it wasn’t as free-flowing as we would like it to be, we were still in control of the game.”

It wasn’t the prettiest Celtic win, but it’s three points on the board nonetheless.

It could’ve been easy for the players to lose it yesterday, with decisions going against Celtic and Hearts frustrating the side. Keeping their cool, they got their reward with a gap opening at the top of the table.

Robbie Neilson, on the other hand tried to equate the number of fouls as proof his side were hard done by. It was really a poor attempt to deflect from his failings on the day.
