Ange Postecoglou has been speaking after his team dropped two points in Paisley in Wednesday ntint and his thoughts on the winter break being pushed forward.

The question was put to the Celtic manager if Kyogo and Rogic could miss the rescheduled Glasgow Derby tie on February 2nd with both Australia and Japan involved in World Cup qualifiers in the same period.

“If they get called up they will be.” Ange told HeraldScotland.

“There is a lot of violin playing around the place, we are not going to be one of them.

“I am very supportive of our club’s stance. It makes sense to me to use the natural break.

“I have said all along that fans are an integral part of this game.

“If having that break gives us a chance, without guarantees, to get them back in it’s much better.

“I don’t like playing closed doors – fans are an important part home and away.”

Celtic have made it clear they want fans through the door to support the team above all else. Ange clearly referring to our Glasgow rivals getting the violin out to try and get these games played behind closed doors.

It’s vital Celtic give their fans every opportunity to get to these games. It will also be worth a few phone calls to see what can be done about our star players and international duty.

If we sign more Japanese internationals in the transfer window – we could see them head back out not long after coming into the club.

It’s going to be an interesting time to say the least. Celtic have no room for error in the title race and when the Glasgow Derby does come around, it’s a must-win.
