JACK HENDRY suffered a horror challenge at the weekend which meant he had to go off during his loan club’s 6-2 win over Standard Liege.

The Celtic defender has had a fantastic season in Belgian and picked up the best player in the Belgian League accolade from a popular media outlet in the country.

The centre-back has turned his own fortunes around, his form and attitude earned him a recall to the Scotland side and has put the player in contention for the Euros.

However, Jack is now sweating over his fitness for this summer’s competition. SunSport reports the defender is set for a scan to check out the damage from the injury he sustained.

If it’s anything long-term, the Celtic fringe player would almost certainly miss out on the Euros.

It would be a major blow for Jack who has put in the work to get to this point.

Nobody knows if the former Dundee defender will be back at the club next season. If you asked fans if they wanted to sign one of the top-rated stars in the Belgian league, you wouldn’t get an argument from many.

However, Jack’s below-par performances for the Hoops mean it’s an uphill battle.
