Premier League club Brighton are awaiting the green light from Celtic to allow their young goalkeeper Vincent Angelini to head down south for a trial.

Angelini, the grandson of Celtic legend Davie Hay, has signalled his intention to quit the club at the end of the season after turning down a new deal at Parkhead.

According to RecordSport, Brighton are keen to take the goalkeeper on trial with a view to signing the 17-year-old for next season.

The goalkeeper looks like he will be part of a Celtic exodus that spans across the first and reserve team.

Celtic are going to go through a huge transition on the field as well as seeing a total overhaul of the structure off the pitch.

Some of our top young stars have made their way to other academies at Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern over the last couple of years
