Celtic have been linked with a move for George Baldock from Sheffield United.

The Blades are heading back to England’s top table next season and are currently making plans in the hope of achieving survival next term.

Reports claim that even though Sheffield have managed to get to the Premier League, this hasn’t stopped Baldock from fancying a move to Celtic this summer.

MailSport writes: “The 26-year old has one year left on contract and is understood to be interested in talking to the Scottish champions despite United’s promotion to the Premier League.”

A right back is a massive position Celtic need to fill this summer. Lustig is still without a new deal and Cristian Gamboa has already left the club. Anthony Ralston is Celtic’s only first team recognised right back at the minute.

Brendan Rodgers tried and failed to land any of his right back targets set out by Lee Congerton. Will Neil Lennon succeed where Brendan failed and manage to solve the problem position.

Neil Lennon was only confirmed as Celtic boss last Friday but it appears the Irishman has been eyeing reinforcements since coming in as interim boss at the end of February.
