There’s no doubt our new manager will have to look at bringing in a new goalkeeper in the summer.

Vasilis Barkas has not looked the part and Scott Bain is not good enough to be our first team goalkeeper going forward. Conor Hazard hasn’t looked inspiring either in his short run in the team.

The Hoops really need a reliable and confident shot stopper for next season if they have any chance of winning back their title.

One man who has been linked with Celtic in recent times is highly rated Dundee Utd keeper Benjamin Siegrist.

The goalkeeper was asked by Blick about the interest from Celtic and it’s clears he’d jump at the chance.

“If there is interest (from Celtic), I’ll take a close look. I don’t want to force a change, but I am already aiming for the next step in my career.”

Many might see the keeper as a side way step rather than moving forward.

There’s no doubt he’s been better than all three of our goalkeepers last season but is Benjamin what we need? We’ll have to wait and see. It’s 100% a position that has to be looked at immediately.
