In recent weeks, Celtic have been linked with 18-year-old Oscar Gloukh with it now being revealed that the midfielder has a release clause in his contract.
There are a number of teams said to be interested in the Israeli wonderkid as Celtic are reported to be one of them. The club scouted the player earlier this season.
He currently plays alongside former Celt Nir Bitton at Maccabi Tel Aviv who will be able to tell him all he wants to know about the Scottish champions with Bitton having spent almost a decade at the club. He is also acquainted with Celtic winger Liel Abada as they both featured in the international team.
It is set to potentially be a busy window for Ange Postecoglou’s side as a departure is expected. Celtic have already added the services of Yuki Kobayashi and look set to complete the singing of Canadian defender Alistair Johnston who is currently starring for his country at the World Cup.
Gloukh has so far impressed in the league this season having scored four goals and contributed five assists in 12 matches which is a very impressive record.
If the Hoops decide to go for the youngster, they will have to overcome a hefty fee which has been revealed as being set at £6 million [Daily Record].
He is said to have been watched by 25 clubs so far this season but unless there is a significant departure in midfield it is unlikely that the Hoops will go for Gloukh as Maccabi prepare for bids.
