The SPFL have today hit out with a short and succinct statement after being accused of bullying clubs during the SPFL proposal vote which had a 5 pm Friday deadline.

The Ibrox club says they have evidence to support something untoward happening via a whistleblower. They’ve called for the suspension of Neil Doncaster and the dismissal of the SPFL lawyer involved.

Murdoch MacLennan has today made it very simple – put up or shut up.

There is a lot of grandstanding and paranoia among the Ibrox club and their support.

Their inability to show the tiniest bit of humility or sense will sell them season books. This faux us against the world narrative is tiresome – they used to call Celtic fans paranoid and a club who played the victim. My how the tables have turned.

Next week should be as interesting as the end to last week in Scottish football.

Or the avoidance of doubt, it’s still Celtic’s preference to ply the final eight games of the season if at all possible.

  1. Looks like the SPFL has finally grown a pair where the club/company is concerned. On failing to present compelling evidence, this embarrassment of a football club should be fined the exact amount which they would have got for coming a distant second.
