Whether Ryan Christie continues to play for Celtic after the transfer window shuts on August the 31st is anyone’s guess, but according to TalkSPORT pundit Alex Crook, he will not be playing for Southhampton.
Told #SaintsFC have no interest in #Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie. Also no substance to rumours linking Stuart Armstrong the other way.

Alex Crook also rules out any hope of Stuart Armstrong heading north of the border and rejoining the hoops.
Celtic and Southhampton have ofter dealt with each other regarding transfers, with players heading both ways. Southhampton often raids Celtic’s biggest talents, with Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama, Virgil Van Dijk and Stuart Armstrong following the same route.
In return, Celtic have utilised the loan market, and in recent years brought in Moi Elyounoussi and Fraser Forster.
However, a lot of confusion still surrounds one of Celtic’s star performers – Ryan Christie. Mixed reports have emerged regarding his contract, and when it is due to expire.
Some reports suggested that the Scottish international’s contract expires in January, meaning he can agree to a pre-contract with other clubs now. Time will tell if that’s the case.
