CHARLIE NICHOLAS believes Celtic striker, Albian Ajeti should be found guilty of Charing at Kilmarnock last week and should receive a two-match ban when the appeal hearing is heard today.

Ajeti won a penalty for Celtic at Rugby Park which Odsonne Edouard despatched. Nobody l, at the time was thinking he would be pulled in front of a panel for the incident but the SFA were quick to cite the Swiss star.

Albian has only come back into the side and two games out against St Mirren and St Johnstone will harm his chances of finding his feet at the club and getting game time going forward.

Charlie Nicholas thinks the Celtic striker is a cheat, said there was no contact and the striker should serve the ban.

“I expect Kemar Roofe and Albian Ajeti to be found guilty and handed suspensions after the hitmen were retrospectively charged by the SFA.” Nicholas told RecordSport.

“I didn’t think there was any contact and I expect him to serve a suspension too.

“His Celtic team-mate Scott Brown got away with an elbow and the disciplinary set-up is like a lucky dip every weekend as to what will happen.”

The hearing was supposed to go ahead on Monday but was delayed without explanation. It means Celtic’s preparation for their game against St Mirren is hampered because we don’t know if the player will be suspended or not at this point.

Footage shows contact, maybe that doesn’t fit into Charlie’s narrative though.
