BBC Scotland pundit and Billy Dodds have claimed that Celtic will need at least 10 players to turn things around going into next season.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Dodd’s believes that Celtic need a massive overhaul that could see the club bring in particularly a whole new starting 11, to try and get back to the position of strength that the club once held not so long ago.

“You can see how quickly it can turn.

“Rangers last year struggled and Celtic have dominated for a long time, but the tables have turned this year and it is up to Celtic to find a fix for that.

“For me, it’s going to be a huge rebuild job. Rangers probably only need one or two more players just to enhance their squad but with Celtic, I’m telling you, you’re talking at least 8-10 players for them to get it right.

“There are so many on Celtic’s books that will probably be leaving the club. Celtic are under pressure to get the right players in, to get the recruitment spot on, but they have to put a structure in place as well. There’s no manager.

“They need to get the manager sorted out. If they don’t do it soon, that could catch up with them. If Rangers win the league again next season, the pressure builds. Glasglow is like a goldfish bowl.

“That will happen to Celtic if they do not get this rebuild job absolutely spot on.”

Going into next season, the club has an absolutely massive rebuilding job on its hands. Not only down to the failures of next season but also what feels like the ending of a cycle for the majority of this squad who have been so successful over the years.

A lot of recruitment must be done to replace some of the outgoing players but at the same time, some younger players will be returning to the club as well as other squad players hopefully being rejuvenated by the next incoming manager of the club.

We may have a big job on our hands but does not write us off going into a brand new season next year.
